Although Kay In The Bay and The As Told By Podcast launched just over 4 years ago, the seeds were planted years ago against the backdrop of a NYC upbringing, so there was no better person to talk to for this lookback episode than Randi Gray, Kahja's best friend of 40+ years! Sharing childhood experiences around food, Kahja reflects with Randi on the road to creating a food media platform, and Randi shares her own path to building Stronger Systems LLC, where she's empowering and developing leaders in AI.

This week, Kahja talks with Randi about the early days of their friendship and the role food played in it, growing up in the food culture of NYC, the systems of food within families, debunking societal marital roles, early interests that became professional passions, AI and overlaps in the culinary industry, mastering how to move with the flow of technology versus resisting, and witnessing people grow into the best version of themselves.
