Episode Notes

We're creatures of habit, but have you ever thought about taking a chance that could alter the direction of your life beyond what you thought it could be? Angela McCrae did, and her passion and budding interest in the nuances of the wine industry sent her on a journey that would redefine her career, giving her the opportunity to create impact at a deep level, founding Uncorked and Cultured, a hub for Black wine, travel, and culture!

This week, Angela talks with Kahja about how a trip to South Africa changed her trajectory, adjusting from life in Harlem to Sonoma, learning the wine industry from every angle, creating community around aspirational lifestyles, how an inclusive approach creates opportunity for everyone, rushing to solutions around equity, risk taking and success, and the lessons to be learned in getting things wrong.

Recorded on location in St. Helena, CA.
